Voatsiperifery, the famous Malagasy wild pepper, Piper borbonense, is a rare pepper that grows naturally in the tropical forest and is handpicked exclusively from vines that can reach up to 25 meters in height. Easily recognized by its small stem, it has an intense and woody aroma. Black pepper, Piper nigrum, on the other hand, has a milder aroma.
Both peppers have character, and their flavor qualities are unanimously appreciated by consumers.
